We here at Wattie Ink. are proud to announce the Gravel Collective Project, Brought to you by Argon18 - Wahoo - ENVE - Rudy Project - IRC Tires, a gravel-focused cycling team that will include all levels of athlete, from beginner to gravel-curious to professional, modeled on our successful triathlon teams: The Wattie Ink. Elite Team and Hit Squad. Why are we doing this? We can’t help ourselves—we’ll travel for gravel. Since we began attending gravel events, it’s reminded us of our roots, when every race felt like a moonshot and the stoke was around a shared challenge and accomplishment, not an individual one. Why should YOU do this? Beyond the benefits of trying something new, you’ll join a hive of like-minded pioneers, hungry for adventure in fresh pastures all over the country: Belgian Waffle Ride, Dirty Kanza, SBT GRVL, Rebecca’s Private Idaho, Grinduro, Big Sugar—the names alone are appetizing. Selection to the team includes this benefits package, a total value of $500:

  • Wattie Ink. Gravel Collective Project Team Kit Jersey + Bib (a $360 value)
  • Wattie Ink. Gravel Collective Project Team Premium Trucker (a $40 value)
  • Wattie Ink. Gravel Collective Project Team Tee (a $35 value)
  • Pair of Wattie Ink. Gravel Collective Project Team Socks (a $25 value)
  • Wattie Ink. Gravel Collective Project Team Cycling Cap (a $40 value)
  • 20% off all Wattie Ink. inline website purchases in 2020.

Exclusive gear discounts to team members are provided by all official sponsors:

As with our other teams, you'll also get access to a community Facebook page where we discuss race plans, meet up for workouts, and coordinate travel. You'll meet our elite and professional riders there, too, at exclusive FB live events throughout the year.

The application process opens today, January 14th, and will remain open until January 26th and can be completed here

The team will be limited to the first hundred applicants, so don't miss this opportunity to join the family. We will email acceptance notifications to each selected member on January 30th and begin the validation process. The annual membership fee of $250 USD will be collected at this time along with your official team kit sizing. If you're looking for additional gear, you'll be able to pick it up at the special team discount.

The team’s launch event will be the Belgian Waffle Ride, in Escondido, California on May 2nd, and we cannot wait to meet you there!
